Team FEAR Kidets

Launching in 2026 as part of Team FEAR’s 25th anniversary celebrations, Kidets is a brand-new mini adventure race created especially for younger children aged 5 to 7.

The event will take place in Discovery Bay on the same day as the main Team FEAR Junior Challenge.

Race Requirements

Race Safety
All Kidet racers must adhere to all the instructions issued to them by race marshals on the course.
Race Equipment Requirements
All Kidet racers must wear a bike helmet or equivalent head protection and gloves at all times.
Can't Find a Partner?
If you are having difficulty finding a teammate, let us know during registration and assist with team matching where possible.

Who Can Enter?

Team FEAR Kidets is open to children aged 5, 6 and 7.

 

Children will race in teams of two. Teams may be made up of friends, classmates or siblings, provided both racers are within the eligible age range.

 

If you are having difficulty finding a teammate, please let us know during registration and we will try to assist with team matching where possible.

Race Format

The Kidets race is designed as a fun, active and age-appropriate introduction to Team FEAR.

 

Racers will complete a shorter course with a mix of running, trails, beach sections, simple challenges and modified obstacles.

What’s Included?

Each Kidets team entry includes:

  • Entry for two racers
  • Custom Team FEAR Kidets race T-shirts
  • Kidets medals for finishers
  • A mini Team FEAR adventure race experience

Unlike the main Team FEAR Challenge, Kidets teams are not currently expected to provide a volunteer marshal.
